Free Call Using Modem

1968-1973

Free was one of those bands who's turned my world upside down. He opened me to new garunki, not previously recognized, such as blues or blues rock and derivatives. The strength was rooted in the singer, who to this day remains my favorite - it is Paul Rodgers. Like all CDs
group, I believe that I never released a weak album, where the latter two have already deviated from the high level, which the musicians set out to advance themselves.

Free - Tons of SOBs (1968)

footage with very modest means, despite the low budget album from beginning to end is great. Dominated by blues, this is a heavy blues, lots of dark energy and climate change is the music. I really like the dark "Worry" and makes me laugh and I try to turn a blind eye, or rather ears, the "Wild Indian Woman" - not bad musically, but the text is one of the worst I know.

Free - Free (1969)

long time it was absolutely my favorite album. Today it is hard to say. Were it not for short fillers like "a mouthful of Grass" is the position of the next work group would be compromised. Actually all the songs from this album are my favorite, but disappointed in the "Free Me" - after the title, I expected great hymn, where the music is calm at first, to the final result of the monumental elevation rozpczzliwym screaming Rodgers. But this is not, "Free Me" is a muted replay of "Moonshine."

Free - Fire And Water (1970)

Magnum Opus team. The album is filled with all the hits - what else to add? Departed from the typical blues (and probably good), a little lazy - the drummer and guitarist uprościli your game. Rodgers's voice does not sound like the voice here already rebellious teenager, appeared characteristic hoarseness dle it.

Free - Highway (1970)

Were you able to climb higher than at the "Fire And Water"? Musicians probably had such an intention ("The Stealer"). However, the album was made a bit uneven, silenced, but enjoyable. There are some truly colossal tracks: "Be My Friend", "Ride On A Pony," "Soon I Will Be Gone" and "Love You So" - these are my favorites.

Free - Live (1971)

most popular songs the band performed live. One song premiere. The concert is a mandatory supplement for Each lover Free.

Free - At Last (1972)

In my opinion the worst album. Should not be understood here that, as bad! I just do not have such catchy numbers as it was before. Feel that the fire has burned down, and the conflict between the Fraser and Rodgers became no longer bearable. Listen to this quite nicely, but without much elation. My favorite songs are: "Solidier Boy," "Travellin` Man '.

Free - Heartbraker (1972)

last album. The revised layout, the amended version. Although I love the keyboards This game adopted on a permanent keyboardist, Rabbit, I'm not like, because as far as angular riffs played on guitar, yet somehow sound, but the keyboards are completely wrong. Uneven album - apart from excellent, the best in the band's career, songs like "Heartbreaker," "Muddy Water", "Seven Angels" are here, such as puppy love pop-country "Travelin` In Style. " Overall, slightly better than the previous album.
