Letter Writing To A Catholic Priest

Fahrenheit 451 - François Truffaut FREE

film was made based on the novel by Ray Bradbury in 1966 not only lost the freshness, but even this dark vision of the future is realized before our eyes, and raised the problems are becoming more current.

written word has been banned, public enemy number one became the book. Cited for destroying the guard, whose task is to find and book burnings. People who read the book, the rebels, to deviate from the accepted rules, get caught and subjected to a special rehabilitation, which restores them to the "happy" society, or eliminate.

for fireman named Montag was a regular day's work - found the hidden books and made its public burning. After the action the commander invited Montag to interview for a promotion.
When you return home, the main character, meets Julia - a young teacher who lives in the neighborhood. They talk, she asks him many questions: "Why are books banned?" To which replied: "Because I make people unhappy."
then asks if he ever read the book, when he denies, he asks whether he is happy ...
This question raises a spark of Montagu, which soon progressed him to reflect on human existence in this illusory world.
Marriage and Linda Montag is apparently happy (as indeed everything in this society). People are controlled by the television, gathered in homes before the big screens, which require them to trends and, through some fun and games, artificially increase the sense of happiness and self-esteem. Sadness, fear, depression does not exist - all of these symptoms, people generally are taking the pill. Those who betray a strange tendency denounces - are created for this purpose a special box for denunciations.

One night, plagued by internal questions, Montag secretly reaches for the book, and since then regularly reads a secret from his wife. This, however, it covers and makes an ultimatum - books have gone out of the house, or she goes. Since then
Montag neglected at work, cup of bitterness is filled with startling action, when firefighters discovered a huge, secret library, and an old lady who takes care of books chooses to die in the flames. The circle tightens
to guard comes to the house of a young neighbor Montag, who lives with his uncle. It manages to escape and contact Montagiem. This devises a plan that seeks to toss books into homes, and firefighters using their own weapons - a denunciation and fire - burn those piromanów. Is this going to succeed? See for yourself. Maybe then you will understand that today we live in a very similar world - the media, the Internet, a wide range of shallow entertainments distract from the art, difficult, uncomfortable thoughts and questions and reflections on the existence ...

Free Call Using Modem

1968-1973

Free was one of those bands who's turned my world upside down. He opened me to new garunki, not previously recognized, such as blues or blues rock and derivatives. The strength was rooted in the singer, who to this day remains my favorite - it is Paul Rodgers. Like all CDs
group, I believe that I never released a weak album, where the latter two have already deviated from the high level, which the musicians set out to advance themselves.

Free - Tons of SOBs (1968)

footage with very modest means, despite the low budget album from beginning to end is great. Dominated by blues, this is a heavy blues, lots of dark energy and climate change is the music. I really like the dark "Worry" and makes me laugh and I try to turn a blind eye, or rather ears, the "Wild Indian Woman" - not bad musically, but the text is one of the worst I know.

Free - Free (1969)

long time it was absolutely my favorite album. Today it is hard to say. Were it not for short fillers like "a mouthful of Grass" is the position of the next work group would be compromised. Actually all the songs from this album are my favorite, but disappointed in the "Free Me" - after the title, I expected great hymn, where the music is calm at first, to the final result of the monumental elevation rozpczzliwym screaming Rodgers. But this is not, "Free Me" is a muted replay of "Moonshine."

Free - Fire And Water (1970)

Magnum Opus team. The album is filled with all the hits - what else to add? Departed from the typical blues (and probably good), a little lazy - the drummer and guitarist uprościli your game. Rodgers's voice does not sound like the voice here already rebellious teenager, appeared characteristic hoarseness dle it.

Free - Highway (1970)

Were you able to climb higher than at the "Fire And Water"? Musicians probably had such an intention ("The Stealer"). However, the album was made a bit uneven, silenced, but enjoyable. There are some truly colossal tracks: "Be My Friend", "Ride On A Pony," "Soon I Will Be Gone" and "Love You So" - these are my favorites.

Free - Live (1971)

most popular songs the band performed live. One song premiere. The concert is a mandatory supplement for Each lover Free.

Free - At Last (1972)

In my opinion the worst album. Should not be understood here that, as bad! I just do not have such catchy numbers as it was before. Feel that the fire has burned down, and the conflict between the Fraser and Rodgers became no longer bearable. Listen to this quite nicely, but without much elation. My favorite songs are: "Solidier Boy," "Travellin` Man '.

Free - Heartbraker (1972)

last album. The revised layout, the amended version. Although I love the keyboards This game adopted on a permanent keyboardist, Rabbit, I'm not like, because as far as angular riffs played on guitar, yet somehow sound, but the keyboards are completely wrong. Uneven album - apart from excellent, the best in the band's career, songs like "Heartbreaker," "Muddy Water", "Seven Angels" are here, such as puppy love pop-country "Travelin` In Style. " Overall, slightly better than the previous album.

Kidde Smoke Alarm Hissing

Julian `s Treatment - A Time Before This (1970)

Group, of which I heard recently, and this effect resulted in an immediate purchase.
wonder why something so wonderful for so long remained unexplored by me, why work so original and fascinating, which is "A Time Before This", is covered with a thick layer of dust of oblivion?

"A Time Before This" , originally released on two LP, contains 52 minutes of music, which is the concept.
author of this project was Julian Jay Savarin - poet, writer and musician playing the keyboards.
It is an incredible music we describe as
a fantasy rock ` - the action of the rock opera takes place in another, fantastic world. The music is dark, and fairytale. Dominated by the powerful, majestic organ. Guitars used without exaggeration, a guitarist, he often reaches for the flute, which is more suited to this music. The board
Kathy Pruden singer sang with a voice cut the air. It is difficult to be compared to anyone, great in the classical compositions of color, as well as more bad ass, rock.
music, although it requires concentration, it is not difficult - there are no crazy some improvisation, focused more on melody than popisach.
album earned huge impression on me, and perhaps the only musical barbarians can go near him indifferent!

Cressida - Cressida (1970 )

When I think about the team Cressida am overwhelmed by feelings of joy and sadness simultaneously. Joy, because it causes an awareness that there are things in the world beautiful and sublime. Sadness, because in spite of this phenomenal music group there was very little time and managed to make only two albums, the third was on its way, little lacking, but unfortunately failed.
debut was recorded almost entirely "on sete", with minimal overlays and released in 1970.
reviews were very good, the album sold well and it seemed that all the best prognosis. The next album, "Asylum" - but became even better reviews - had less and it's saleability in part led to the termination of the contract and the collapse of the team.

The album contains 12 tracks and up but hard to believe they are all excellent and thoughtfully provided. It begins quietly with "To Play Your Little Game", the musicians obviously do not want to spend immediately all his strengths and graded the pleasure derived from listening. With each new piece is going more and more, to finally lead to the "Tomorrows Is A Whole New Day 'with one of the greatest finals in the history of rock music, where the full pathos of backing choir organ sounded and the raging guitar solo win exciting - it's not Simple the song is a hymn! There are more such moments on the album, even in the "Depression" or title "Cressida". The songs are undoubtedly progressive, but piosenkowe, melodic - I love this combination. Of course, the basis for the burden of a Hammond organ, sometimes piano and mellotron. Guitar is making itself felt in the salts, which, needless to say - are great and often more interesting even than the keyboard. Cressida is also an excellent vocalist with a beautiful color, is often compared to a Justin Hayward of The Moody Blues.
This album (and band) is one of my most beloved, I put him as a perfect example of the achievements.
