Julian `s Treatment - A Time Before This (1970)

Group, of which I heard recently, and this effect resulted in an immediate purchase.
wonder why something so wonderful for so long remained unexplored by me, why work so original and fascinating, which is "A Time Before This", is covered with a thick layer of dust of oblivion?

"A Time Before This" , originally released on two LP, contains 52 minutes of music, which is the concept.
author of this project was Julian Jay Savarin - poet, writer and musician playing the keyboards.
It is an incredible music we describe as
a fantasy rock ` - the action of the rock opera takes place in another, fantastic world. The music is dark, and fairytale. Dominated by the powerful, majestic organ. Guitars used without exaggeration, a guitarist, he often reaches for the flute, which is more suited to this music. The board
Kathy Pruden singer sang with a voice cut the air. It is difficult to be compared to anyone, great in the classical compositions of color, as well as more bad ass, rock.
music, although it requires concentration, it is not difficult - there are no crazy some improvisation, focused more on melody than popisach.
album earned huge impression on me, and perhaps the only musical barbarians can go near him indifferent!

Cressida - Cressida (1970 )

When I think about the team Cressida am overwhelmed by feelings of joy and sadness simultaneously. Joy, because it causes an awareness that there are things in the world beautiful and sublime. Sadness, because in spite of this phenomenal music group there was very little time and managed to make only two albums, the third was on its way, little lacking, but unfortunately failed.
debut was recorded almost entirely "on sete", with minimal overlays and released in 1970.
reviews were very good, the album sold well and it seemed that all the best prognosis. The next album, "Asylum" - but became even better reviews - had less and it's saleability in part led to the termination of the contract and the collapse of the team.

The album contains 12 tracks and up but hard to believe they are all excellent and thoughtfully provided. It begins quietly with "To Play Your Little Game", the musicians obviously do not want to spend immediately all his strengths and graded the pleasure derived from listening. With each new piece is going more and more, to finally lead to the "Tomorrows Is A Whole New Day 'with one of the greatest finals in the history of rock music, where the full pathos of backing choir organ sounded and the raging guitar solo win exciting - it's not Simple the song is a hymn! There are more such moments on the album, even in the "Depression" or title "Cressida". The songs are undoubtedly progressive, but piosenkowe, melodic - I love this combination. Of course, the basis for the burden of a Hammond organ, sometimes piano and mellotron. Guitar is making itself felt in the salts, which, needless to say - are great and often more interesting even than the keyboard. Cressida is also an excellent vocalist with a beautiful color, is often compared to a Justin Hayward of The Moody Blues.
This album (and band) is one of my most beloved, I put him as a perfect example of the achievements.
